Secure a denture

Historically, if you had lost all or most of your teeth, the only option was to have a denture. Thankfully, those days are gone. If you can’t get on with dentures and find them wobbly, uncomfortable or embarrassing, it is possible to have a natural-looking denture that is firmly attached to dental implants.

Fixed implant dentures allow you to:
✓Enjoy all your favourite foods once more
✓Socialise without the worry that your dentures may slip
✓Throw away your denture adhesive because implants are securely fixed
✓Taste your food because there’s no plastic plate over your palate
✓Improve your looks as implants preserve bone avoiding a ‘caved in’ appearance

How can you secure my denture?
We use advanced solutions to your individual requirements. There are several options available to you, but the Implants themselves are small, strong titanium screws that are placed directly into your jaw.

Do I have to take my teeth out at night?
Because dental implants provide a fixed tooth replacement, there is no need to remove your teeth at night.

How long do implants last?
The cosmetic and functional effects of Implants is hard to compete with, but open communication and collaboration is key. Excellent oral hygiene and reviews will maintain your treatment.

Will treatment hurt?
Treatment is carried out using Local anaesthetic, so you will be properly numbed before the procedure has started. We would usually recommended taking mild analgesia if necessary but this will be confirmed by the Implantologist after the procedure.

What if I feel nervous?
Feeling nervous is completely normal and to be expected, we will always try to reassure patients and make sure you are fully comfortable before proceeding. We would never rush any part of your treatment, it is really important to us at Guildhall that you have a smooth and pleasant experience.

Is sedation an option?
bsolutely. We always ensure that patients requiring sedation to help them relax have an anaesthetist administering the conscious sedation. We find this to be the safest possible route of offering sedation to our patients.

How much do dental implants cost?
Generally speaking a single Implant with our experienced Implantologist Dr Peter Bujtar or Dr Aaron Lopez can cost around £2900 including the crown which can be completed by our Prosthodontist, Dr Joao Afonso. We find that by combining clinicians skillsets, we are able to create even finer results. Over time, dental implants will prove to be the most cost-effective solution to replacing missing teeth. Although the initial outlay may appear high, considered over say, a 20-year period, the ongoing cost of dentures or fixed bridges would be much greater. Plus you won’t experience sore gums, messy adhesives or embarrassing or awkward moments with loose dentures.
